After over twenty five years photographing in Wales, there are now many thousands of interesting and inspiring 35 mm images in my collection. Have a look in the Galleries here for examples, but remember that I can only show a small percentage of the available images.
As well as standard 35mm transparencies there are a fair few in panoramic format (24 x 65 mm). Since August 2007 I have been using digital capture.
All are available for reproduction by individuals, organisations or publishers.
The landscape of Wales is my inspiration and forms the basis of the slide library. I'm particularly interested in the geological and ecological aspects of the landscape, natural habitats, and in the way the land is used. Coverage is strongest in mid- and west Wales and the National Parks, and weakest in the north-east. Many environmental and conservation issues in Wales are featured, including oil pollution and the foot-and-mouth epidemic. Welsh settlements and walkers in the landscape are also included.
I'm also building up a collection on the more scenic areas of Spain, particularly in Andalucia, and have a small but excellent selection of California - for example Yosemite, Death Valley and the Big Sur.
My slides have been used in many local and national publications by, among others, the Wales Tourist Board and the Countryside Council for Wales. The Royal Mail Welsh landscape stamp series, published in June 2004, featured one of my images on the first class stamp.
Reproduction fees are by arrangement, and reduced rates can normally be arranged for conservation and environmental organisations.
